Discover Scuba Diving

What’s it like to float effortlessly along a reef past sea turtles, tropical fish, and colorful corals? Take the Discover Scuba Diving course and find out. The Discover Scuba Diving course is a half-day program consisting of theory and confined water (pool) practice followed by an open water dive on a local reef with your instructor. At a maximum depth of 12 m/40 ft, you can easily explore the amazing underwater world for almost an hour. Minimum age to participate in this course is 10.

Mini Refresher

If you’re a certified diver who hasn’t been diving in a while or doesn’t have much experience, eases back into diving in Playa del Carmen with a Mini Refresher. In this course, you’ll review dive theory and practice confined water skills before making a shallow reef dive with your instructor. Minimum age to participate in this course is 10.

Open Water Referral Course

You’ve done the hard part - studying dive theory and mastering confined water skills in your home country. Now come to Mexico for the Open Water Referral Course to complete your Open Water Diver certification in the warm turquoise waters of the Mexican Caribbean. Playa del Carmen has perfect dive spots for training dives – shallow reefs with light current and lots of marine life to see while you make your first ocean dives.

Open Water Diver Course

You’ve always wanted to take a scuba diving course and explore the underwater world. Take the first step of scuba diving certification - the Open Water Diver Course. In the Open Water Diver Course, you learn dive theory, practice basic scuba skills on confined water dives and make 4 open water dives to use your skills. The Mexican Caribbean is the perfect spot to take a dive course – it’s warm water diving with great visibility and lots of large and small critters to see.

Advanced Open Water Diver Course

As a certified scuba diver, you’ve already experienced the wonder of the underwater world and are ready to explore other aspects of diving and improve your underwater skills. The Advanced Open Water Course lets you try 5 different specialties and gain new experiences and skills under the expert guidance of an instructor. There are a variety of specialty dives to try including Nitrox, drift diving, underwater naturalist, underwater navigation, and deep diving. This course focuses on the practical application so students spend more time diving instead of time in the classroom.

Specialty Diver Courses

If you’re interested in a special type of diving – cavern diving, deep diving, diving with enriched air, drift diving, etc. – take a Specialty Diver course. A Specialty Diver course teaches you the right way to conduct a specific type of dive and lets you gain experience and new skills.  All Specialty Diver courses include Specialty Manual, academics, open water training dives (2-4 depending on specialty), dive equipment and certification fee. Minimum age to participate and duration, of course, depend upon the specialty.
